# Introduction

NuoLend is a fully decentralised p2p lending platform built on top of the Ethereum blockchain with the use of smart contracts. Since it is fully decentralised(dApp), the website will have a slightly different flow from what is usually seen. With NuoLend, a borrower can borrow Ether by putting in collateral in the form of any supported ERC20 tokens. The lender will be putting in Ether based on any loan offer that he deems fit. The collateral will be put in the smart contract so that any non-payment of the loan amount will result in the transfer of the collateral to the lender's account.
